What we collect when you ask for a quote

When you fill in a quote form on this site, you give us your name, your phone number, your ZIP code, and details about the vehicle: what it is, what condition it is in, and whether you have the title. You can also add a message.

That is the whole list. We do not ask for your address, your date of birth, your driver number or any payment details, and the form has no place to enter them.

You can skip the form entirely and call us instead. Nothing on this site has to be filled in.

Why we collect it and who sees it

We use those details for one thing: to work out what your car is worth, call you back with a number, and arrange the pickup if you want to go ahead.

Your details reach our team through a form service we use to receive and store enquiries. That service holds the information on our behalf and does not use it for anything else.

We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to marketing companies. If we ever need to share something to complete a sale you have agreed to, such as paperwork the state requires, we will tell you at the time.

Photos

This website does not accept photo uploads. If you want to send pictures of a car, you can text them to the number on this site, and we treat them the same way as anything else you send us: we use them to price the vehicle and nothing else.

Cookies and website analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies in your browser and records things like the pages you viewed, how long you stayed, roughly where you are based on your internet connection, and what kind of device you used.

It does not tell us who you are. We use it to work out which guides are worth writing more of, not to identify visitors.

We also use Microsoft Clarity. It records how people move around the site, meaning scrolling, clicking, and the path taken through pages, and plays it back to us as anonymous sessions so we can see where a page confuses people. It does not record what you type into the form, and it does not tell us who you are.

You can stop both. Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings, Google publishes a browser add-on that turns off Analytics on every site you visit, and Clarity honours your browser’s Do Not Track setting.

How long we keep things

We keep enquiry details while we are dealing with your car and for a period afterwards, because a question about a vehicle we bought can arrive months later and the record is how we answer it.

If you would rather we did not, say so and we will delete it.

Asking us to delete your details

Call us on the number on this page and tell us you want your enquiry removed. We will delete it and confirm that we have. You do not need a reason and it costs nothing.

You can also ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you.

Children

This site is for people selling a vehicle, which means adults. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.

Changes to this page

If we change how any of this works, we change this page at the same time and update the date at the top. There is no other version of this policy anywhere.
